WHAT IS THE HILL COLLECTIVE?
The Hill Collective is an innovative, student-led organization that exists to make Champions On The Hill by improving education and driving awareness surrounding Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) opportunities for student-athletes.
Operating specifically within NCAA Division III, we seek to lead the charge as NIL moves beyond the realm of Division I athletics.

We strongly believe that Division III athletes have the unique opportunity to be true “student-athletes.” Competing at a high level in a collegiate sport while excelling professionally in the classroom is no easy task. It can be difficult to strike a healthy balance.
As Division I athletes at schools such as Dartmouth unionize and push to become “employees,” we fully embrace the role of the true “student-athlete.” Bubba Cunningham, the Athletic Director at the University of North Carolina — Chapel Hill says, “They have to go to school, they have to go to practice, they want to get better, and they’re gonna run a business on the side? I think that’s a pretty tall ask.”
HOW CAN WE HELP?
Insufficient information, compliance concerns, and lack of inspiration plague Division III student-athletes seeking Name, Image, and Likeness opportunities. We solve these problems through detailed research, dedicated resources, and deep community relationships. “Hill Top Hustle” podcasts research NIL trends. Our Executive Team facilitates compliance with the Athletic Department. Team-specific Ambassadors connect with local businesses.

The Hill Collective fails if student-athletes jeopardize eligibility by engaging in the wrong NIL opportunities. Our close alliance with the Athletic Department and comprehensive legal research ensures that we are an invaluable resource to student-athletes.

The Hill Collective mission is centered around improving education and building awareness regarding NIL opportunities for student-athletes. We are working tirelessly to generate relevant and interesting content specifically tailored to Division III student-athletes.

Division III colleges and universities are not immune to the impact of NIL. Although the effects will be slower and possibly less drastic than in Division I, it would be foolish to ignore the opportunities available. The Hill Collective connects local businesses with student-athletes to create mutually beneficial relationships.
